How does the AI Visibility Monitor work?
We send real test prompts to ChatGPT and Perplexity via their APIs (using your BYOK keys). We parse the actual responses for brand mentions and domain citations. No estimation, no sampling — real data from real AI engines.
What does it cost to run a check?
Each check sends ~5 prompts to 2 engines. Approximate API cost: ~$0.03 per check using your own keys. The platform fee is included in your BYOK Pro ($19/mo) or Pro ($29/mo) plan.
How is this different from the AI Citation Tracker tool?
The Citation Tracker is a one-shot tool — run it once, get results. The AI Visibility Monitor is recurring: it stores every check, tracks score changes over time, shows trends, and tells you if your optimization is working.
Can I track competitors?
Yes. Add competitor names when setting up your monitor. The AI analysis will include competitive positioning notes based on your citation check results.
Which AI engines do you check?
Currently ChatGPT (via OpenAI API) and Perplexity (via Perplexity API). Both use real API calls, not web scraping. More engines coming soon.
Do I need my own API keys?
Yes — this is a BYOK feature. You need an OpenAI API key and/or a Perplexity API key. Add them in Settings → API Keys. This keeps costs transparent and under your control.
