What Is a Page Speed Test?
A page speed test loads your page in a controlled environment and measures how quickly it becomes useful: when the main content appears, how fast it reacts to taps and clicks, and whether the layout jumps around while loading.
This tool uses Google PageSpeed Insights, the same data Google publishes for any URL. It tests mobile and desktop, reports the three Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP and CLS) plus server response time, and lists the changes that would save the most time, explained in plain English.
How to Test Your Page Speed
- Step 1
Enter a URL
Test your most visited pages: home, top landing pages and a typical blog post or product.
- Step 2
Wait for Google
PageSpeed Insights loads the page on a simulated phone and desktop. It takes 15–40 seconds.
- Step 3
Fix the biggest wins first
Start with the opportunities that save the most seconds, then re-test.

Speed Mistakes We See Most
A huge hero image
Fix: Resize it to the size it’s shown at, convert it to WebP or AVIF, and don’t lazy-load it.
Too many third-party scripts
Fix: Remove tools you don’t use, and load chat widgets and trackers after the page is interactive.
Images and ads without reserved space
Fix: Set width and height on images, embeds and ad slots to stop layout shift.
Chasing a perfect 100 score
Fix: Real-user Core Web Vitals matter more than the lab score. Aim for “good” on the three metrics.

Questions about the Page Speed Test
Is this the same as Google PageSpeed Insights?
Yes, the data comes straight from the PageSpeed Insights API. We explain the results in plain English and show mobile and desktop side by side.
Why does INP say “No data”?
INP is measured from real Chrome users. New or low-traffic pages often don’t have enough visits for Google to report it yet.
Why does my score change between tests?
Lab tests vary a little with network and server conditions. Compare trends over several tests, not single runs.
Does page speed affect rankings?
Core Web Vitals are part of Google’s page experience signals, but relevance and content quality matter far more. Speed mainly affects whether visitors stay.
How many tests can I run?
Up to 6 per hour per visitor, for free.
